HOW MY LESSONS WORK:
after many years of teaching (which in practice means having worked with more than a hundred different people) I have developed a musical path, which I have called "6 Keys piano” because it is based on 6 topics: the BLUES, the SONG, the SYMPHONY, the IMPROVISATION and the TRADITIONAL MUSIC, which make up the core of my teaching method. Each of these topics will enable you to develop your musical sensitivity and skills as a pianist and composer.
The lessons are set up in this way:
-the first aspect we will work on is musical perception and piano technique, which are the two fundamental elements of playing and composing. Perception because music is a language composed of sounds, so you need to develop your musicality and technique will enable you, with time and experience, to play any piece you want to
-the second aspect is the study of repertoire: by studying pieces from different genres and traditions, fine-tuning and analyzing them, you will improve as a musician and learn how the great composers developed their ideas. The difficulty and type of pieces will depend on your starting level and the musical goals you choose to pursue
-the third aspect we will delve into is musical culture: in what period were the pieces we will study composed? who was the author? what is the difference between contemporary and classical music? these and other questions will serve to improve your understanding of music and, most importantly, will make you not just a performer but a conscious musician.
Lessons are suitable for any starting level, last about an hour and can be held at home, in my studio or online.
I recommend a year-long course and a weekly commitment, but the course is adaptable to any need; I will be glad to help and come to your aid!
